Martin and Son, she furthered her expertise in administration and accounting at an industrial mineral manufacturing company.

In her new role, Atkins will collaborate with the company’s installation team and project managers to help manage all installation aspects, including scheduling, logistics, on-site support, and quality assurance, using her organizational skills and customer-focused approach to ensure project success.

Macco brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new position, having previously excelled in a leadership role at a local logistics company. In her current role, she will support various aspects of retail remodel projects, including preliminary estimates, budgeting, financial control, scheduling, on-site coordination, and more.

Lardinois is responsible for providing a variety of administrative and office support tasks to the project management and nationwide installation teams. Her responsibilities include assisting with various stages of project execution, from pre-planning to post-completion.

When asked what she likes most about working at the company, Lardinois responded, “My favorite thing about working with this company so far has been the relationships. The camaraderie at H.J. Strand brings 27 years of extensive experience in fleet management to the company. Prior to joining H.J. Martin and Son, he owned and operated a local body and paint shop. In his role as Fleet Coordinator, Strand will be responsible for optimizing the company’s vehicle fleet, ensuring that it complies with the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability. His familiarity with H.J. Martin and Son, combined with his deep understanding of fleet operations, positions him to make significant contributions to the continued success of the company. Strand expressed his enthusiasm for joining the team, stating, “I am honored to take on the role of Fleet Coordinator at H.J. Martin and Son. Green Bay, Wis. – H.J. Martin and Son’s National Installation division is proud to announce the promotion of Brice Triphan and Theresa Freeman to the role of Project Managers. This exciting development highlights the company’s commitment to nurturing talent and promoting from within its dedicated team.

Triphan, who has been with H.J. Martin and Son for a decade, initially joined the company as an installer and transitioned to roles including Project Coordinator and Assistant Project Manager. His recent promotion to Project Manager, where he will oversee and manage various projects, will contribute to the ongoing success of the company.

Freeman, a nine-year valued member of the company, originally joined as a Project Coordinator, then advanced to Assistant Project Manager before her recent promotion. Her main duties as Project Manager include budgeting, estimating, and managing client relations for the company.

“We have always promoted from within at H.J. Martin and Son and this is how the company was built. Both Brice and Theresa are examples of this. Brice, who started as an installer, has been promoted to a Project Coordinator, Assistant Project Manager, and now Project Manager.  Similarly, Theresa spent nine years as a Project Coordinator before becoming a Project Manager. Schmandt will provide extensive knowledge from her past employment as an HR Coordinator who manufactures premium windows and doors. As Project Coordinator, Kirsten is responsible for providing support to the National Installation Division. She works closely with the team to schedule, budget, and plan the logistics of various projects. Schmandt is a graduate of Fox Valley Technical College with an associate degree in human resource management.

Crack recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a minor in Finance. With prior experience interning in the accounting department at H.J. Martin and Son, Crack is well-equipped to take on the role of Billing & Cost Accountant. He works closely with the Billing Specialist to ensure billing statements and payment procedures are streamlined.

Smith is responsible for supporting project management and nationwide installation teams through constant communication before, during, and after projects. Her responsibilities include letters and subcontractor agreements, aiding in project billing, assisting with travel coordination, and more. Smith, who has 13 years of administrative and management expertise, is the ideal candidate for this role because of her ability to collaborate well with others, which is a skill that is important for a project coordinator.

When asked what she likes most about working at the company, Smith responded, “I appreciate that the company has invested in my career growth and challenges me daily. There is a wealth of information within the staff and their guidance has been invaluable to me.” 

Smith graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design with a Bachelors in communications.

Danny Carlton

Carlton previously spent more than 15 years in warehousing with Mills Fleet Farm, an Upper Midwest retail chain. He handled shipping, receiving and forklift operation while at Fleet Farm. Prior to Fleet Farm, Carlton was with Toys “R” Us in a variety of roles, including receiving, for 20 years.

He is a 1984 graduate of Bay Port High School on the northwest edge of Green Bay.

Marie Nehring

Green Bay, Wis. – Marie Nehring, an administrative assistant and payroll specialist in the region for more than a decade, has joined H.J. Martin and Son as a Payroll Administrative Assistant in the National Installation division. In that position, she will support office activities, including payroll for installers working on large retail customers across the country and the hiring of carpenters.

Nehring most recently spent two years as an accountant assistant for KerberRose S.C. in Green Bay. In that role, she processed payroll, submitted federal and state tax deposits, prepared quarterly reports, submitted sales tax and handled bank reconciliations.

She also has prior experience as a payroll specialist for Buhr & Associates, along with three years as a training coordinator and project technician for Day & Zimmermann, a construction and engineering solutions provider for corporations and government, working directly with the Point Beach Nuclear Plant. Nehring additionally has held administrative assistant roles with Engstrom Inc. and the U.S. Army (Child Youth Services).

Nehring holds an associate’s degree from Lakeshore Technical College in the Administrative Professional program.

Green Bay, Wis. – Matt Kaczmarek, a field-based employee of H.J. Martin and Son, has been promoted to a position within the company’s headquarters and begins his new role as Assistant Project Manager/Estimator.

Kaczmarek has become an Assistant Project Manager/Estimator within the Walls & Ceilings division of H.J. Martin and Son. In his new role, he will estimate and manage projects in conjunction with project managers Graig Boyle and Tim Boland.

A 2016 graduate of Pulaski (Wis.) High School, Kaczmarek first joined H.J. Martin and Son as an apprentice in May 2017 after one year in the carpentry program at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. He subsequently earned an associate’s degree in construction management from NTWC.

Kaczmarek also has two-and-a-half years of work experience in a general merchandise freight role with Shopko.
